The Directorate of the IIHF designated the three best players of the tournament:

Goaltender: Philippe Lepage (Luxembourg)

Defenseman: Kwang Hyok Kim (DPR Korea)

Forward: Emrah Ozmen (Turkey)

The Fair Play Trophy was awarded to DPR Korea.

After that the shields Gold for number one DPR Korea, Silver for number two South Africa and Bronze for number three Luxembourg were presented.

Gold Shield for DPR Korea

Then the three kinds of medals were presented to the players and staff of the three teams.

Finally the Chief IIHF official closed the 2008 World Championship Division 3.
