Paris Calling: Tornado Hits the Road for the First Time

Road Trip to Paris: Tornado Looks to Ground the High-Flying Volants!
The Division 2 season started with a massive bang at Kockelscheuer, and now Tornado Luxembourg is taking that momentum on the road. This Saturday, the boys travel to the French capital to take on Français Volants de Paris, looking to build on their flawless opening-night shutout.

The Opponent: Hype Meets Reality
The rumors circling the league are entirely true. Français Volants have made serious moves during the offseason, reinforcing their roster with heavily experienced players like goaltender Sebastian Ylönen and defenseman Antonin Manavian. These blockbuster signings have instantly made the Parisians a favorite for promotion.
However, hockey isn't played on paper. Despite the massive upgrades, Français Volants stumbled in their season opener last weekend, suffering a narrow 2-1 overtime loss to their local rivals, Évry-Viry. The Volants will be desperate to secure their first win on home ice, making them a highly dangerous and motivated opponent.

Riding the Shutout Momentum
Tornado enters this matchup riding the high of a statement 2-0 victory over reigning group champions Hogly.
To secure points in Paris, Tornado will need to replicate that same 60-minute "blue working dress" mentality.
Taking down Français Volants in Paris would send another massive message to the rest of Group A. Coach Eriksson saw "excellent warriors" on the ice last week—they will need to bring that exact same fight to the capital.

Mark your calendars! The boys return to Kockelscheuer next week on Saturday 17 October to host Orléans [Get your Ticket Here!]. The season has started, Tornado is in shape—let's keep this party going! Allez Tornado! 💙🤍❤️
