Puckers Luxembourg send skidding IHC Beaufort II to 4th straight loss

The IHC Beaufort 2 hosted the Puckers Luxembourg in the Patinoire de Beaufort on December 3rd, where the visiting team routed their host in a dominant 4-10 game. This is the 4th consecutive loss for the IHC Beaufort 2.



The visiting team was dominant throughout the first period. Frédéric Davidson scored the first goal of the game for the guests at 2:45. At 9:35, Tom Marques Abreu put the scores level at 1 all on an assist by Mirko Mosr. The 1-2 was scored by Vladimirs Lutovs. The tie came only 50 seconds later, as Tom Marques Abreu scored the 2-2 on an assist by Mirko Mosr. It didn't take their opponent much time to answer though, as Charles Vallée scored only 1 minute later on a feed from David Dozek. At the end of the first, the score was 2-3 for the benefit of the visiting team.



The visiting team didn't give up on the lead and kept dominating the game throughout the second period. At 25:15, it was David Dozek who put the puck in the net again for the guests. Peter Hancz scored another goal for the guests at 35:10. Another goal followed shortly after, as Jani Seligson scored the 6th goal for his team. The teams were heading into the break with a 2-6 score.



The visitors proved to be the better team and held on to their lead throughout the last period. Mirko Mosr of the IHC Beaufort 2 scored the 3-6 at 41:50. The Puckers Luxembourg didn't take long to retaliate, as Jani Seligson scored 2 seconds later. Another goal followed shortly after, as Peter Hancz scored the 8th goal for his team. At 50:54, it was Charles Vallée who put the puck in the net again for the guests. The IHC Beaufort 2 didn't take long to retaliate, as Tom Marques Abreu scored 3 minutes later. The answer came only 3 minutes later, as Frédéric Davidson scored for his team after being assisted by Peter Hult. The score was 4-10 at the end of the final period.



Mirko Mosr and Mike Mekhaeel were the highest scorers with 4 points each. The performances of some players caught people's eyes, namely Mirko Mosr (4 points), Mike Mekhaeel (4 points), Tom Marques Abreu (3 points), Peter Hancz (2 points) and Charles Vallée (2 points), as they added new season-highs to their personal record. Even though the IHC Beaufort 2 lost the game, a positive aspect was that they improved on statistical point of view by the fact that they were scoring more and getting scored on less. Today's 10 points against are above this season's average of 12.25 and the 4 points scored are above the average 2.5. Out of these two teams' last 2 encounters, Puckers Luxembourg won 100% of the games (2 out of 2). On December 6th the IHC Beaufort 2 will face the Tornado Luxembourg, whereas the Puckers Luxembourg meet with the Hiversport Huskies Luxembourg on December 8th.
