Tornado Luxembourg edge Hiversport Huskies Luxembourg for 4th straight win

On December 18th the Hiversport Huskies Luxembourg hosted the Tornado Luxembourg in the Patinoire Kockelscheuer, where the visiting team turned it up a notch and pounded the Hiversport Huskies Luxembourg, 0-11. With that, the Tornado Luxembourg could celebrate their 4th straight win. Colm Cannon and Emil Folkesson are the first in the league to break the 25-point mark with their performances in this game.



The visiting team was stronger than their opponent in the first period. Steven Minden opened the scoring for the guests at 0:38 on a feed from Emil Folkesson. Another goal followed shortly after, as Georges Scheier scored the 2nd goal for his team on an assist by Marcus Eriksson. Only 1 minute later, Mathieu Moise added another goal to the sheet on an assist by David Donzel. At 6:13, it was Colm Cannon who put the puck in the net again for the guests after being assisted by Marcus Eriksson. At the end of the first, the score was 0-4, giving the visiting team the lead.



The visiting team didn't change it's game and hold on to the lead during the second period. Patrick Schon scored another goal for the guests at 30:05 on a feed from Georges Scheier. At 38:13, Teemu Hinkula scored another goal for the Tornado Luxembourg. At the end of the second, the score was 0-6.



The visitors held on to the lead and kept control of the game throughout the third and last period. The guests continued their run, as Marcus Eriksson scored the 0-7. Another goal followed quickly after, as Teemu Hinkula scored another one for his team. At 49:02, Colm Cannon scored another goal for the Tornado Luxembourg. The guests kept their pace and Marcus Eriksson scored only 22 seconds later. Colm Cannon scored another goal for the guests at 57:04 on a pass by Emil Folkesson. At the end of the final period, the score was 0-11.



Marcus Eriksson of the Tornado Luxembourg was the topscorer of the game with 4 points. Georges Scheier (3 points), Steven Minden (2 points) and David Donzel (2 points) were shining in a very special way as they set new season-highs for themselves. Next on the schedule for the Hiversport Huskies Luxembourg is the IHC Beaufort II on December 20th, whilst for the Tornado Luxembourg, the Epinal Dauphins II will be next on December 22nd.
