Tornado Luxembourg delivered a vastly improved effort with high intensity on Saturday night, but ultimately fell 3-1 on the road against Reims. Despite a promising start and plenty of offensive chances, the team struggled to find the finishing touch when it mattered most.

Taking the Lead but Chasing the Bounces
Answering the coaching staff's call to be mentally present from the opening face-off, Tornado came out flying. The relentless early work paid off when Félix Sigouin found the back of the net to give Tornado a 1-0 lead.
The boys in the "blue working dress" continued to create dangerous opportunities throughout the game but could not secure the crucial second goal. Unfortunately, hockey is an unforgiving game; a few costly individual mistakes allowed Reims to capitalize, tying the game and eventually pulling away with three unanswered goals.

Coach Eriksson: "A Step in the Right Direction"
Head Coach Christer Eriksson acknowledged the frustration of the result but praised the team's renewed work ethic and energy.
"Best intensity from the start since those last games. Unfortunately, we are not scoring on our chances. We create, but don't have the last action with us at the moment. It's really frustrating because it often finishes with an individual mistake that gives the goal away. Then it's tough to keep pushing when you don't have finishes on your side."
Despite the final scoreline, Eriksson sees a clear path out of the current slump.
"I think anyhow it's a step in the right direction. We need to keep pushing and provoke the winning results. If we work as we did today, we will find back the winning track again."

We Need the Sixth Player!

Courbevoie comes to Luxembourg having not won a single game this season. While that makes them a desperate and dangerous opponent, it also presents the perfect opportunity for Tornado to snap this losing streak and get back to winning ways.
